1. Who you are contracting with
SnapMyFridge is operated by Dinh Phan ("we", "us", "our"). By using snapmyfridge.com or any of its features you are entering into an agreement with Dinh Phan. Our business address is Clarksburg, MD, USA.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it; if you use it as an individual you confirm you are of legal age in your country.
3. The service
SnapMyFridge lets you photograph or describe the food you have, identifies likely ingredients using AI vision, optional barcode lookup and text recognition, and generates recipe suggestions. Paid memberships (Fridge Premium and Fridge Family) unlock additional recipes per photo, the cuisine picker and personalised taste profiles.
4. Accounts
You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. In particular you must not:
- use it for any unlawful purpose, or to commit fraud or send spam;
- upload content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes anyone's IP;
- interfere with security — no malware, probing, scraping, circumvention of usage limits or paywalls, or automated bulk access;
- attempt to jailbreak or manipulate the AI features to produce illegal, hateful or abusive content;
- reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.
6. AI-generated content and accuracy
Ingredient identification and recipes are produced by AI models and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for what you upload, for checking results, and for your own food safety — including allergens, dietary restrictions, ingredient freshness and safe cooking temperatures. The service is not medical, nutritional or professional advice. You retain rights in the photos and text you submit and grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service. We may remove content, filter or refuse outputs, and suspend accounts that breach these terms. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us at support@snapmyfridge.com and we will review and remove infringing material; repeat infringers lose access.
7. Intellectual property
We retain ownership of the service, its software, branding and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have selected.
8. Service level
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features may change or be withdrawn.
9. Payments, subscriptions and taxes
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing frequency, renewal, cancellation, tax and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Memberships renew automatically at the interval you chose until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings or through Paddle; access continues to the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may close your account at any time from Settings; doing so deletes your stored data as described in the Privacy Notice.
11. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from content you submit, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
13. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, and the state and federal courts located in Maryland have exclusive jurisdiction. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
